Where is The Analyst based?
The Analyst’s office is in Clapham, South-West London, in the UK – and situated at the North end of a Roman road dating back to the 1st Century AD. Clapham is famous for its 220 acre Common and its village atmosphere – and is equidistant to both the City of London and London’s West End, where many of our clients are based; but far removed from the majority of the sell-side – just like our research.

The Analyst maintains live coverage over stocks within its universe that it currently believes could at least double (“Longs”) or halve (“Shorts”) in value.
How many stocks actually double or halve?
Over the past decade, in any given year on average c.150 listed stocks in Europe either double or halve (Source: The Analyst Research e-book “Research Market Failure: Conflicts can cost”). We aim to identify as many as possible for our clients.
In which countries does The Analyst cover stocks?
The Analyst covers listed stocks across all European countries and markets. Historically there have been some US and Asian names too, but for the last few years coverage has been exclusively European.
Which financial instruments does The Analyst cover?
Analyst Alpha Generation Limited covers exclusively listed equities, however many of our clients have generated considerable value through applying our equity research to investing elsewhere in the capital structure, or through financial derivatives.
Does The Analyst publish macro research?
The Analyst is a purely bottom-up, fundamental equity research house producing single-stock research and does not specialise in Macro content.

The Analyst is a purely bottom-up, fundamental equity research house producing single-stock research and does not specialise in Thematic content however, from time to time we do publish notes around broader sector/market/country themes if they are relevant to multiple recommendations.
Does The Analyst cover stocks globally?
The Analyst covers listed stocks across all European countries and markets. Historically there have been some US and Asian names too, but for the last few years coverage has been exclusively European.
Which sectors does The Analyst cover?
The Analyst covers all sectors but has historically under-indexed in its coverage of Financials and Resources. Over the long-term our coverage has averaged around 25% Consumer, 25% Industrial and 25% TMT however we do not undertake to cover any number of stocks in a given sector.
Does The Analyst offer single-sector packages?
Yes, we offer super-sector coverage packages at discounted rates – if you are a specialist as opposed to a generalist, contact us via our website to learn more.
How does The Analyst distribute its content?
All of our current and historic content is available via our app (iOS and Android) and website, with publication flagged via push notification or email.
Do all clients receive research simultaneously?
Yes, in line with TCF guidelines from our regulators no client receives preferential distribution.

Contact us via the website for an initial conversation with one of our Account Advisors. The usual process is to undertake an introductory period before becoming a regular subscriber, which is then generally on a quarterly rolling basis.
Can we view your Compliance Policies?
Analyst Alpha Generation Limited (The Analyst) operates a compliance framework to demonstrate it has robust systems and controls that are appropriate to its business. The framework includes policies and procedures, in particular a comprehensive Compliance Manual which is regularly reviewed and updated. Further, The Analyst complies with all applicable laws, statutes, regulations and codes relating to anti-bribery, anticorruption, data privacy and market regulation, including but not limited to the US Foreign Corrupt Practices Act of 1977, the UK Bribery Act 2010, General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (Regulation (EU) 2016/679) and the EU Markets in Financial Instruments Directive 2004/39/EC. However, our policies are for internal use only. All staff are provided with training on our policies and procedures at onboarding and on a periodic basis.

No, the “Short Seller” model is where a firm takes a position in a stock prior to publishing a piece of research into the public domain that is supportive of its position. The Analyst does not take positions in stocks and only produces independent research for its investor clients. It also does not make public its research nor recommendations.
